I've been using FE for 2 years now without any issues and they do put out an update every 6 months or so. If you have more than 500 fonts I wouldn't recommend using it. Not a handy feature when you don't want it to load FontBook is made for the casual user. Copy and paste the font file from the FCPX application folder and send it using your preferred method. If you are trying to install multiple Fonts simultaneously, there is a quick and easy way to do this. Just 'Add Fonts. I don't have Validate File under the File menu on my Font Book. Navigate to your title editor, and find your new font in the list. it will run dignostics on any amount of fonts, and ask you what to do.Close the Font Book application and relaunch Final Cut Pro (or your chosen program).Click the Install Font button for the font to be added to the Font Book.Double-click the font file and the Font Book will open along with a font preview window.
